Even Christ is “touched with the feeling of our infirmities” (Heb. 4:15, KJV). Paul wrote of the sense of smell in Philippians 4:18, speaking of an offering as “sweet-smelling.” Thus our financial giving is viewed as a “sacrifice” in the New Testament.
